For the first time in 30 years, Woodstock has updated its city seal. It’s part of a municipal “rebranding” that also has produced a new logo, icon, tagline and website.

The 1987 city seal displayed Woodstock’s historic train depot, surrounded by trees and tracks. The new seal by Tom Cox, of Tom Cox Design Studios, retains the station and trees, but now they’re backstopped by a contemporary skyline reflecting the latest development downtown.

A new city icon also was developed – a “W” inside a hexagon. And the city’s old tagline – “Experience Woodstock. Her Heritage. Her Vision” – has been replaced by “Our Story Crafted by Your Dreams,” to better represent city leaders’ commitment to their community, officials said.

The new website can be viewed at: www.woodstockga.gov

“The updated identity of Woodstock represents our continued progressive growth as a leading city dedicated to serving with professionalism,” according to a city news release.
