Woodstock man wins $5 million

Oct 2, 2013

Gregg Barnes thought he was seeing things.

The 50-year-old Woodstock man bought a Georgia Lottery ticket on his lunch break, scratched it in his car, and realized he was a $5 million winner.

“It hasn’t sunk in yet,” the father of two said.

Barnes cashed in playing the instant game Millionaire Jumbo Bucks with a ticket he purchased at Food Mart on Breckinridge Boulevard in Duluth.

He claimed his prize at the lottery’s district office in Duluth on Monday.

Barnes, a manager for a printing company, doesn’t have any plans for the money — yet.
