A special partnership between Fayette County Schools and the Woodruff Arts Center is resulting in more students and teachers getting fine and performing arts education.
Ogechi Oparah, a Fayette graduate who now works as a program director for Woodruff, updated the Board of Education on Oct. 5 about the targeted program. A combination of field trips, professional learning residencies, workshops, family programs and touring productions is projected to impact more than 20,300 students and 1,100 educators during this school year for grades K-12.
The program involves the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the High Museum of Art.
