Woodruff partnership benefits Fayette schools

Oct 8, 2015A special partnership between Fayette County Schools and the Woodruff Arts Center is resulting in more students and teachers getting fine and performing arts education.
Ogechi Oparah, a Fayette graduate who now works as a program director for Woodruff, updated the Board of Education on Oct. 5 about the targeted program. A combination of field trips, professional learning residencies, workshops, family programs and touring productions is projected to impact more than 20,300 students and 1,100 educators during this school year for grades K-12.
The program involves the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the High Museum of Art.
