While Cobb County police continue to investigate last week’s shooting death of a rapper, authorities have charged a woman with sending him death threats.
Yachari Kiyana Miller allegedly sent messages to 23-year-old Justin Mitchell saying, “You a dead man walking” and “This your year to die” just 24 hours before he was killed, according to an arrest warrant obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Mitchell, also known as “Yung Teddy,” was found shot to death at his Austell home Wednesday night. He had posted on Twitter hours earlier about death threats against him.
Miller, of Powder Springs, is charged with one count of terroristic threats and acts, a felony, and has been in the Cobb County Detention Center since Friday, according to the sheriff’s office. She is being held without bond.
There were witnesses to the fatal shooting and police are looking for two suspects, but no one has been arrested for Mitchell’s death.
The first suspect is described as a black man, 20 to 23 years old, and between 5-foot-6 and 5-9 with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a gray sweater, dark pants and a black beanie hat. He had a handgun.
The second suspect is described as a black man between 5-4 and 5-6. He had a navy blue bandana covering his face and was wearing a multicolored beanie hat.
Anyone with information about the case should call Cobb County police at 770-499-3945.
