Sigman Road was shut down at Renaissance Drive after a dump truck crashed and burst into flames Wednesday evening, Conyers police said.

A Ford Expedition swerved left on Sigman Road to avoid hitting a car exiting Renaissance Drive. The Ford drove into the path of the dump truck, police said.

Landscaper Raul Moreno saw the dump truck crash into the ditch and burst into flames.

He quickly busted the truck window with a tool and pulled the driver from the smoke filled cab of the truck.

The driver, whose name had not been released Wednesday evening, was taken to Rockdale Medical with minor injuries.
