A $1,770,720 Fantasy 5 lottery ticket was sold at Stonegate Bottle Shop in College Park earlier this year. The winning ticket was paid Aug. 10, 2016. 
The lucky ticket was one of at least nine winning Fantasy 5 tickets claimed in the metro Atlanta area from July to October, according to data from the Georgia Lottery Corp. The lottery provided data on prizes exceeding $600. 
At least $107.8 million in winnings was claimed during that time from tickets sold at area gas stations, grocery stores and other retailers. 
All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K program. See winning numbers at http://www.ajc.com/lottery.
