A $100,000 50x The Money lottery ticket was sold at Welcome Pantry earlier this year in Stone Mountain, Ga. The winning ticket was paid Oct. 11, 2016 after being purchased at the retailer.

The lucky ticket was one of at least 586 winning 50X The Money tickets claimed in the metro Atlanta area from July to October, according to data from the Georgia Lottery Corporation. The lottery provided data on prizes exceeding $600.

At least $107.8 million in winnings was claimed during that time from tickets sold at area gas stations, grocery stores and other retailers.

All Georgia Lottery profits go to specific educational programs, including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Programand Georgia's Pre-K program. Check out winning numbers at http://www.ajc.com/lottery/.
