Someone is $10,000 (minus taxes, of course) richer thanks to a purchase made Tuesday at a gas station in Cobb County.

The BP store at 3002 Atlanta Road in Smyrna sold the winning ticket worth $10,000 in the Feb. 18 Mega Millions drawing, the Georgia Lottery Corp. said.

Winning numbers from Tuesday’s drawing were 6-12-39-61-70. The Mega Ball was 4. Georgia Lottery said the ticket matched the first four numbers and the Mega Ball.

The winner of Tuesday’s drawing has not come forward, the organization said. Winners have 180 days from the drawing to claim their prizes.

Since its inception, Georgia Lottery says it has pumped more than $21.6 billion into state education programs. All Lottery profits pay for programs such as the HOPE Scholarship and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.
