One of the last undeveloped areas in Peachtree City’s Wilksmoor Village area will be turned into 176 single-family home lots.

The City Council approved the rezoning of 66.5 wooded acres off Old Senoia Road, just north of the new Everton subdivision and south of Wilkes Grove Church. The area was originally zoned agricultural reserve (AR) and general industrial (GI), but is now designated limited-use residential for medium density. The Peachtree City Planning Commission approved the rezoning request on June 25, with a list of 22 provisions that include establishing a 1,600-square-foot minimum dwelling size and a minimum lot width of 50 feet.

The developer, Century Communities, must also install sidewalks and provide multi-use path connections to adjacent developments. The concept plan includes an amenity area with a clubhouse, pool, playground and enclosed dog park.
