But why is it so tough to get gas right now? Between 250,000 and 330,000 gallons of fuel leaked from the Colonial Pipeline in Helena, Alabama. The leak has gas prices up and supplies down throughout Georgia and the region, which led to Gov. Nathan Deal signing an emergency order to ban price gouging.
Basically, Cobb County is — as Jackson Browne so melodically mused — running on empty.
