Three westbound lanes of I-285 have reopened following a late-morning wreck in Sandy Springs that shut down all lanes for well over an hour.
The three-vehicle wreck happened before 11:30 a.m. on I-285 westbound past Riverside Drive.
Westbound traffic was quickly jammed back to beyond Ashford-Dunwoody Road, while eastbound traffic was slow from I-75 to the crash site.
Sandy Springs police said there were injuries involved, but the severity of those injuries was not immediately known.
One lane briefly reopened to traffic about noon, but by 12:30, all lanes were again shut down. About 12:40 p.m., authorites reopened the three left lanes.
