West Fest kicks off tonight with West End concert

May 6, 2011

West Fest, billed as the “hippest intown spring festival on the west side of the downtown connector!” will kick off tonight and run through the weekend in Atlanta’s Historic West End.

Atlanta City Council President Ceasar Mitchell and City Councilmember Cleta Winslow, who represents the area, have partnered with West End Neighborhood Development to sponsor the three-day neighborhood spring celebration, featuring a concert at The Wren’s Nest, the annual Historic Tour of Homes, and a full day-long Festival at Gordon-White Park.

The festival will begin at 7 p.m. tonight with a special liver performance by Dawn McClain in the Wren's Nest Amphitheatre. For tickets and detailed information on the whole weekend, log in to http://www.atlantawestfest.com/.
