Just weeks after last month’s record-setting $1.5-billion jackpot, Georgia Lottery officials on Tuesday said the jackpot for Wednesday’s Powerball drawing had grown to $112 million.
No one matched all six numbers after Saturday’s drawing. Two winning tickets worth $50,000 were sold in Columbus and Lula, the Georgia Lottery Corp. said Tuesday.
The drawing for the record-setting $1.5 billion jackpot was Jan. 13, when three winning tickets were sold in California, Florida and Tennessee. Since then, the current Powerball jackpot has rolled six times.
Powerball drawings are every Wednesday and Saturday, right before Channel 2 Action News at 11 p.m.
