The Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources will begin waterline replacement in Peachtree Corners’ Lockridge Forest subdivision Aug. 1. The project involves replacing approximately 18,000 feet of existing pipe with a new 8-inch ductile iron pipe. These sections of water main have historically experienced breaks and interruption to water service.
Roads impacted by the work include Sumac Drive, Womack Road, Geraldine Court, Ridgemore Drive, Tilton Lane, Pentel Court, Abby Court, Vic-Ar Road, Newton Drive, Locklear Way, Locklear Court, Miller Court, Vic-Ar Court, and Viking Court.
The contractor, John D. Stephens, Inc., will start pipe installation on Sumac Drive coming from Winters Chapel Rd. Yards disturbed by the work will be fixed temporarily and later permanently. The entire project is expected to take 4 to 5 weeks.
