Parts of Alpharetta Highway will be closed most of the day due to a water main break.

Both northbound lanes are closed after water started flooding the area around 10993 Alpharetta Highway in Roswell.

The areas affected are Houze Way at Highway 9 and North to Hembree Road.

In the meantime, traffic passing by in turning lane. WSB-TV estimates minimal traffic impact "at this time."

Officials estimate the lanes will not open before 5 p.m.

"Everything in between the intersection to Highway 9 will experience an interruption of water services for a minimum of eight hours," Fulton County officials said Tuesday morning.
