Volunteers with a free health clinic near Lithonia that offers care to more than 1,500 people each year will be given the President’s Volunteer Service Award later this month.

The 27 volunteers will receive the honor in a special ceremony April 27 at the South DeKalb Center for Healthy Living, 2699 Klondike Road.

The facility relies entirely on donations and volunteers to provide medical care to uninsured and low-income residents throughout the region.
