Volunteers to spruce up park Oct. 1 in Lawrenceville

Gwinnett County will sponsor a volunteer service day from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 1 at Rhodes Jordan Park Community Recreation Center, 100 E. Crogan St., Lawrenceville.
Volunteers will paint a mural and picnic tables, landscape the park and perform other maintenance. Pre-registration is recommended for t-shirt sizing. For more information call 770-418-2331.
