A Villa Rica man was fatally shot Monday night.

Henry Junior Mathis, 46, was found on the sidewalk along the 300 block of Thomas Dorsey Drive with several gunshot wounds. He was taken to Tanner Hospital but died from his injuries, Villa Rica police said.

It is suspected that Mathis was involved in an argument with 22-year-old Jaydrekus Cartez Hart, authorities said. Allegedly, Hart took a gun from the vehicle of Joshua Antonio Arnold, 22, and shot Mathis multiple times. Hart and Arnold fled the scene, police said.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Hart and Arnold on the charges of murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Police are not releasing photos of the suspects because the investigation is ongoing.
