Vigil to commemorate MLK tonight at Bastrop County Courthouse gazebo

Today is the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., and residents in Bastrop County will meet at the Bastrop County Courthouse gazebo to commemorate the life and legacy of the civil rights leader.

The candlelight vigil will begin at 8 p.m. tonight. The public is invited to attend and is asked to bring a candle and light to participate in the vigil.
