Video shows mother dog desperately rescuing trapped puppies

A video posted to Facebook by an animal shelter shows a mother dog frantically trying to rescue her litter of puppies that are drowning.

Fox17 reported 12 puppies are heard whimpering after being trapped under a building on an Israeli military base. Severe weather in the area caused flooding under the structure but the opening was too small for humans to get through and rescue the puppies.

The mama dog whimpers as she hears her puppies howling for help. In the video, she goes under the structure and emerges with one of her puppies.

The mother dog and her puppies are now recovering and could be placed up for adoption.
