The man who was killed in last week's shooting at an AutoZone has been identified as 24-year-old Monterrance T. Thomas, DeKalb County police said.

Michael Stewart, 21, was seriously injured in the same incident. His condition was not immediately available.

Detectives have identified the shooter but are not naming him yet, police said. He remains at large.

On Thursday, Thomas and Stewart were shot at the AutoZone at Rockbridge and Stone Mountain-Lithonia roads. The motive was unclear, but police spokesman Officer Jason Gagnon said the alleged shooter "brushed shoulders with the men before shots rang out," according to witnesses.

The shooter fled in a white or light-colored SUV.
