Feb 22, 2011The University of Georgia law school this Friday will hear from two prominent Atlanta judges before re-enacting the legal trial that led to the university being desegregated five decades ago.
Georgia Supreme Court Justice Robert Benham and Senior U.S. District Justice Horace Ward will head a panel discussion of the case at the UGA School of Law's Hatton Lovejoy Courtroom. Atlanta Journal-Constitution columnist Maureen Downey and attorney Kenneth Dious will also participate. Persons interested in attending are asked to register at www.law.uga.edu/re-enactment-rsvp to ensure seating.
