Police are searching for a man who shot two people in a DeKalb County auto parts store parking lot.

One man has been hospitalized in critical condition, and another is in serious condition after being shot outside the AutoZone at Rockbridge Road and Stone Mountain-Lithonia Road in unincorporated Stone Mountain, police said.

Investigators aren’t sure of the motive, but DeKalb County police spokesman Officer Jason Gagnon said the alleged shooter “brushed shoulders with the men before shots rang out,” according to witness statements.

The man then jumped into a white or light-colored SUV and drove east on Rockbridge toward North Deshon Road.

Both victims were taken to nearby hospitals.

Police continue to search for the  shooter.
