Two seats open on Fayette water committee

Two volunteer positions of differing terms are open on the Fayette County Water Committee, which advises the Board of Commissioners regarding water system improvements, bid openings, water quality and availability concerns.
The committee meets at 8 a.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the department’s office at 245 McDonough Road in Fayetteville. One of the open citizen terms on the committee would begin immediately upon appointment and run through Dec. 31, 2019. The second citizen position would also begin upon appointment but continue through Dec. 31, 2021.
The Board of Commissioners is accepting applications, available from Tameca White at twhite@fayettecountyga.gov or 770-305-5103, through June 22.
