Two seats open on Fayette hospital authority

Two of the five volunteer positions on the Fayette County Hospital Authority are open for new appointments.

The committee is a mix of business and community leaders that issues tax-free bonds and helps provide the facility with capital funding. The Fayette County Board of Commissioners seeks applicants for two terms that start upon selection and expire in May 2022. Priority will be given to licensed doctors and registered nurses, but other qualifications include prior experience working with hospitals or health care systems, public health departments or community health organizations, as well as skills related to financial management, hospital regulatory issues or promoting cooperative relationships among diverse groups.
