Two social studies educators from Inman Middle were certified this year as "master teachers" by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. Sara Looman and Mark Washington are the only two in Atlanta Public Schools to earn the title, which means they demonstrated “excellence in the classroom through gains in student achievement.” In addition, candidates for the master teacher certification must be full-time certified teachers with a minimum of three years of experience. The certificate is valid for seven years.
