The Town Center Community Improvement District wants your input on how it can improve the Noonday Creek Trail crossing at Cobb Parkway.

The CID will host an open house from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the Ben Robertson Community Center so residents can give feedback.

Alisha Smith, director of projects and planning for the Town Center CID, said the organization is in the early phase project, and has only had one stakeholder meeting.

However, its design team has analyzed the crossing to get an idea of the existing conditions.

Smith said preliminary data shows that Cobb Parkway, also known as U.S. 41, “creates a barrier in the trail experience and when most people get to this location, they turn around and head back the direction they originated from.”

The study, Smith said, seeks to provide a better way for trail users to navigate the roadway. Improvements could include a bridge, tunnel or a standard crossing that would have a different configuration, Smith added.

The Ben Robertson Community Center is located at 2753 Watts Drive NW in Kennesaw.
