Clayton County voters will decide this fall whether restaurants will be able to serve alcohol as early as 11 a.m. on Sundays.

The Clayton County Commission on Tuesday approved a resolution putting the so-called "brunch bill" on the presidential general election ballot this Nov. 3.

If approved, Clayton will join a long list of southside municipalities that  have moved to an earlier serving time since the Georgia Legislature allowed citizens to vote on the issue in 2018.

Voters in Stockbridge, McDonough, Locust Grove and Newnan passed the bills last year. However, voters in Morrow, one of Clayton County's largest cities, rejected the legislation when it was put to a referendum in 2019.
