The Gwinnett Board of Commissioners agreed Tuesday to extend contracts totaling $232,800 for the purchase of groceries. The three-month contract for March 21 through June 21 will provide meals for detainees, employees and senior citizens.
Approximately $50,800 of the total will be used by the Department of Community Services for senior meals, with the remaining $182,000 split between the Department of Corrections for inmates and employees of the Gwinnett County Comprehensive Complex and Sheriff’s Department for inmates and staff at the Gwinnett County Jail.
Good Source Solutions, S&S Institutional Foods dba Samples Institutional Foods, Southeastern Paper Group, Sutherlands Food Service Inc., US Foods and Wholesale Liquidations LLC dba Benjamin Foods LLC provide the groceries and related products.
