1. Reading of Coretta Scott King's letter forbidden by U.S. Senate. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., was sanctioned by her Senate colleagues for reading a 1986 letter by the widow of Martin Luther King that criticized the civil rights record of Trump's nominee for attorney general, Jeff Sessions. [Read here]

2. A high-powered Republican joins the army of casino lobbyists in Georgia. Haley Barbour, former Mississippi governor and powerful new ally of the casino industry, huddled with Gov. Nathan Deal days before the start of the legislative session. [Read here]

4. Report: Smith to be re-assigned, Cox replaced. Falcons defensive coordinator Richard Smith is up for re-assignment and defensive line coach Bryan Cox is set to be replaced, according to a report in The Sporting News citing two sources.
