Police are looking for a pair of burglars who knocked a hole in the back wall of a northwest Atlanta dollar store early Tuesday, taking electronics, school uniforms, candy and other items.

Atlanta police Sgt. Scott Jones told the AJC that the burglary occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. at the Family Dollar store in the Moores Mill Crossing shopping center on Bolton Road.

“Looking at the video, they spent about 15 minutes total inside, stealing an unknown amount of goods,” Jones said.

Jones said the two men filled plastic bins with items before leaving in an unknown vehicle.

“They seemed nonchalant about it, taking their time, acting like we were open and they were just regular shoppers,” store manger Kevin Patat said.

Patat said the store has been burglarized numerous times, most recently about six months ago.

He said this was the first time the burglars had knocked a hole in the concrete block wall to enter the store. Normally, they break in through the front doors, he said.

“They bust the glass and reach in and unlock them,” he said.
