Kennesaw Mountain High School theater instructor Coy Dunn has been named teacher of the year in Cobb County.

Dunn's students have won five team state titles, 13 regional titles and numerous individual state titles for their performances.

Coy was among three finalists for the 2011-12 title. The other two were music teacher Richard McKee of Acworth Intermediate School and family and consumer science teacher Dawn Castleberry of Lovinggood Middle School. Superintendent Michael Hinojosa announced Coy's selection this week.
