Fulton County Superior Court Judge Jerry Baxter has set an Aug. 11 trial date for the Atlanta Public Schools test-cheating case.

Thirteen defendants, including former Superintendent Beverly Hall, remain in the case. Baxter delayed the trial to allow Hall receive treatment for Stage IV breast cancer. Baxter is also allowing another Fulton judge to decide a motion filed by defendant Tamara Cotman that seeks to recuse Baxter from the case because he asked the Court of Appeals to expedite a pretrial appeal filed by Cotman’s attorney, Benjamin Davis.
