A 19-year-old man was in critical condition Tuesday when his Ford F-150 jumped a curb and plunged over the edge of a retaining wall outside North DeKalb Mall.

“The vehicle flipped several times upon landing and came to a final rest on its side,” Shiera Campbell, DeKalb County police, spokeswoman said in an email. “The victim had to be extracted from the vehicle by Fire Rescue personnel. He was unconscious and said to be in critical condition at the time and transported to an area hospital.”

Two other 19-year-old men riding with him sustained minor injuries.
