A teenager was wounded and another person grazed in the leg Tuesday morning in a drive-by shooting at a northwest Atlanta apartment complex.

The incident happened shortly after midnight at the Collier Heights Apartments on Joseph E. Boone Boulevard.

Atlanta police Capt. Adam Lee III told Channel 2 Action News that a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg.

According to Channel 2, police believe the teen got into an argument with a group of men on Monday afternoon, and they returned to the apartments overnight.

“Apparently, the other young men came by in a car and just shot at him as he was walking through the parking lot,” Lee said.

At least six shots were fired, with one of the shots piercing the window of an apartment and grazing a resident in the leg. That man was taken into custody after police discovered that he had an outstanding warrant, Lee said.

The wounded teen, who was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition, could face charges for violating the city’s curfew, according to Lee.

Police are looking for a burgundy Chevrolet Caprice in connection with the incident.
