A woman has been arrested after authorities say her 16-month-old child was found bound with cellophane and packing tape in the back of her car.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office tells media outlets that a locksmith was called Wednesday to unlock 18-year-old Grace Love An’s car in Gainesville.

Authorities say the locksmith alerted deputies after he saw the child lying on the backseat floorboard with the child’s hands, feet and mouth bound with cellophane and packing tape.

The child was taken to a hospital for treatment and later placed in the custody of the Division of Family and Children’s Services.

An is charged with first-degree cruelty to children, false imprisonment and reckless conduct. She was booked into the county jail on bond. It isn’t clear if she has an attorney.
