New item-Atlanta
Peggy Duke has a complaint about some new infrastructure work that has just been completed.
“Over many months, infrastructure pipes were being placed on Piedmont Road between Peachtree Road and Roswell Road. After all the digging and breaking up of sidewalks, all that was repaired. Finally, the road was paved — all good. Except now the covers to access the underground pipes are very deep and hard to miss,” Duke wrote.
She said the covers are deep enough to damage tires and likely the suspension of cars and said they should be level with the road.
“Creating potholes on newly paved roads is very poor design and needs to be addressed,” she added.
We sent the item to the city and will keep you updated.

Fixed! Atlanta
Last week, we told you about a water leak that had been dripping for months and was causing a resident to be upset over the wasing of water.
“For about two months now, there has been a significant water leak at the southeast corner of Durant Place and 5th Street NE in midtown. Water is pouring out of a spot where the curb and street meet. The city has been contacted and knows about it but, given the drought conditions in particular, one would think repairing this would be a priority,” wrote Michael Stamboly.
We learned from the city the leak had been fixed.
