David Jenkins is tired of metal plates in his neighborhood that have been there for months.

“There are two large metal plates on Walker Terrace, NE in Ansley Park that have for months covered holes in the street. Despite repeated attempts from residents and neighbors, nothing has been done to repair the street and remove the metal plates. We are afraid the city has forgotten about this problem, is ignoring our contacts and pleas for help, and doesn’t care about leaving metal plates on city streets for months-or years,” Jenkins wrote.

He said the plates can do damage to vehicles, can reduce property values for those whose homes are on the market, and are always loud and annoying as cars drive over them.

We sent the issue to the city, and will keep you updated on the progress of getting them fixed.

Lanelle LaRue wants something done about a busy southside highway.

“The striping at the end of the north bound exit lane off I-75 for Morrow/Lake City close to Ga. Highway 54/Jonesboro Road needs to be redrawn. At the end of the exit ramp, there is one right turn lane and two left turn lanes onto Hwy. 54. However, the curb exit lane as now drawn, leads everybody into a turn only lane, which is confusing and dangerous if you are going straight north on 54/Jonesboro Road,” she said.

We sent the issue to DOT to see if it could be repaired.
