Milton's fire marshal has rescinded the burn ban that was issued in October due to dry weather conditions.

Citizens who live in agriculturally-zoned areas are allowed to burn small piles of yard debris as long as they abide by fire regulations and the Georgia Forestry Commission hasn't declared it a high fire danger day, according to a Thursday news release.

In November, Milton Fire-Rescue said it had seen a tenfold increase in outdoor fire calls over the same period last year.
