Swearing in set for new Pine Lake mayor, council
The city of Pine Lake will have a meeting and swearing in ceremony for its new mayor and council members at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 5 at the Pine Lake Courthouse, 459 Pine Drive.
The newly elected officials, mayor-elect Melanie Hammet, and council members-elect Jean Bordeaux, Tonja Holder, and Megan Pulsts, will be sworn in and officially begin the 2016 term in service to the city.
The swearing-in will be followed by a reception at the city’s Clubhouse, which is next door to the courthouse, with live music, food, and a community toast to outgoing Mayor Kathie deNobriga, who served the city for twelve years as council person and mayor.
