Get a glimpse behind the badge through Suwanee’s Citizens Police Academy. Participants practice traffic stops and building searches, learn about crine scene processing, crime prevention, narcotics identification, ride along with a Suwanee officer, and get a glimpse into the day-to-day risks and responsibilities of Suwanee police officers. The program is designed to open and maintain communication between citizens and the police department.

Classes will be held 6:30 to 9 p.m. Monday evenings beginning Sept. 10 at the Suwanee Police Substation, 2966 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road. Notarized applications are due Sept. 6.
