Suwanee to construct pier at Sims Lake Park

The Suwanee city council voted recently to approve $61,960 for the construction of a pier at Sims Lake Park, 4600 Suwanee Dam Road. The contract to build a covered pier at the lake is awarded to Amaysing Services, Inc. of Gainesville.
This addition to the lake is one of several projects identified in the city’s 2010 park enhancements study.
The 62-acre park includes a 7-acre lake and 1.2 mile looping trail as well as a pavilion, playground, outdoor classroom and public art.
