A suspicious package that required authorities to evacuate a building on the Georgia Tech campus early Friday morning is not hazardous, Atlanta Fire and Rescue spokesman J.L. Bundrige confirmed.

Units were dispatched around 9 a.m. after someone reported the package, sent from an Iranian address, inside a professor's office at 264 Ferst Drive. Once there fire crews spotted dry powder in the loading dock area, Bundrige said. The powder will be sent to the FBI.

No injuries were reported and the streets around the building remain open.
