After a cold start, temperatures hit the 66 degrees Sunday, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The sunny skies will continue through the remainder of the weekend, Monahan said.

“We have dry air across North Georgia and few clouds in sight,” he said. “We’re going to have sunshine everywhere the eye can see.”

Monday’s rain chances are about 20 percent, but overnight is another story.

By Tuesday’s start, heavy rain across North Georgia will affect the morning commute.

That rain is going to bring down temps, too.

Though it’s expected to be warmer than average the next few days, a blast of cold air is coming about the middle of the week, Monahan said.

We’ll be waking up to temps in the 30s Wednesday and Thursday, when the high is only 48 degrees.

Temperatures are expected to drop toward the middle of the week, according to Channel 2 Action News.
