Sugar Hill recently received $9,500 from the Georgia Municipal Association Safety and Liability Management Grant Program. The funds have allowed the city to purchase training and equipment geared to providing a safer working environment for employees and safer experience for the public.
The grant funding has also been instrumental in keeping the city’s workers’ compensation, liability, and property exposures low. According to the city, “The most important benefit of this investment is allowing us to keep our employees, citizens and guests safe.”
The Georgia Municipal Association provides safety grants annually on a first come, first served grant process in amounts up to $10,000 to improve employee safety and reduce public liability.
