The Suwanee Creek Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently partnered with “Wreaths Across America” to organize a ceremony and wreath laying for all of the armed service members buried in Historic Sugar Hill Cemetery.
The ceremony included the laying of about 140 wreaths on graves and saying aloud the names of the fallen veterans.
Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, Wreaths Across America works to remember, honor and teach by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,100 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
