The Sugar Hill Historic Preservation Society was recently honored by the Gwinnett Historical Society as the recipient of the 2020 Phyllis and Marvin Hughes Preservation Award.
We’re grateful for their constant care for our community’s history, especially the Sugar Hill Cemetery.
The Gwinnett Historical Society presents the preservation award annually to an individual or group who has demonstrated an effort to educate the citizens of Gwinnett about the importance of preserving tangible heritage. This heritage includes the successful preservation and/or restoration of both historic and prehistoric dwellings, sites, and burial grounds.
