Gwinnett Commissioners authorized the county on Dec. 15 to abandon 3.77 acres of right-of-way associated with streets in the Providence Walk on Ivy Creek subdivision in Buford.
The neighborhood association will take over all maintenance and associated utilities of Sovereign Drive, Jocassee Drive, Amicalola Way, and Tallulah Drive as part of gating the community.
Easements shown on the final plat, along with those requested by the Gwinnett County Water and Sewerage Authority and AT&T, will be retained.
