Streetscape improvements slated for January

Decatur’s commission approved Phase V of the city’s downtown streetscape improvements, which should begin in January and take one year. Work includes new sidewalks, street trees, streetlights, street furniture and repaved streets on East Trinity Place between North McDonough Street and Fire Station No. 1; and Church Street between East Trinity and Howard Avenue.

This will likely coincide with the North McDonough streetscape project and the railroad crossing upgrades (at McDonough/College Avenue and Trinity/College) scheduled for summer.
