Street name change approved in McDonough

The McDonough City Council voted at its Sept. 5 workshop meeting to approve a name change for a city street. I

n response to a request by American Legion Post 516 in conjunction with an upcoming community event, the council voted to change Legion Road to Willie B. Hatcher Boulevard. The road is located south of the square and one block south of Racetrack Road, connecting to Hwy. 42/Griffin Street. City officials reported that only 15 parcels on land on the road would be affected by the change in address.
